Kirsten Easdale

 
 

Kirsten Easdale has toured, and performed at major international Festivals and events, and on T.V. and radio, worldwide.

With ‘Calasaig’ she has supported artists like Shane McGowan and Donnie Munroe, and sung on stage with Donovan.


As well as recording on over 15 albums, including 4 with top Celtic band “Calasaig” on the Lazy Mist label. “…Easdale’s songs…will have you reaching for the replay button” The Herald. She recorded a solo release “Be Not Afraid” for REL Records and appears on several of their highly successful Scottish compilations, such as “Scotland United In One Voice”, “The Flowers of Scotland” and “Highland Cathedral”.



Kirsten features heavily on Linn Records 12 volume “The Complete Songs of Robert Burns”, and has the distinction of singing the longest song in the series, “O I Forbid You”, of which Lars Nilsson of ‘The Greenman Review’ says, “The word breathtaking has never been more in place.”


Kirsten has also produced concerts, shows and organised gigs & tours for traditional music artists and has given workshops for RSAMD outreach programme, The Arts Factory and Goderich Celtic College.


Production work includes West Dunbartonshire Council’s “Songs of Robert Burns” Denny Civic Theatre and a concert series in Glasgow called "Trad In The city".


Kirsten is a member of Bring In the Spirit alongside traditional musicians Gregor Lowrey, Rod Paterson, Pete Clark & Marc Duff.
